OBBI APPOINTS DYLAN EDGAR AS NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

As golf clubs around the world strive to stay ahead in compliance, operations, safety, and training, the technology behind how these clubs manage day-to-day responsibilities is more important than ever. So in order to remain at the forefront of golf, Obbi, the industry-leading platform designed to streamline these critical areas, has announced the appointment of Dylan Edgar as its new Business Development Manager.

Having worked in software business development and account management for over ten years, Edgar has worked with some of the biggest names in tech at an enterprise level. After taking a career break, he was looking for something different, and when the opportunity to bring his skillset to the golf sector with an industry-leading brand presented itself, it was simply too good an opportunity to pass up.

“Obbi, both as a brand and a product, is genuinely exciting,” said Edgar after joining Obbi prior to the PGA Show in Orlando. “It’s a visionary platform that makes a real difference to clubs and their teams every day, and being part of something that delivers that kind of value is incredibly rewarding. Many software platforms solve a single problem really well, but clubs often end up juggling too many vendors. Obbi takes a holistic approach, bringing compliance, safety, training, and operations under one roof.

“That single pane of glass approach eliminates the friction of managing multiple systems. As for growth, it’s already exciting, we’re working with five of the top 20 ranked golf clubs globally, and the demand in North America is booming. Month over month, we’re seeing tremendous momentum.”

Being new to the golf industry, Edgar is keen to not only further his contact base, but also his golfing skills as he explains: “I picked up a golf club for the first time in over two years back in February, but joining Obbi has reignited my passion for golf. It’s not just the game, it’s the people. I’m lucky to get invited to some great events, and as for a dream course, it’s got to be Augusta in the spring — Amen Corner, aiming for the green near the azaleas — and probably shanking it into the trees… the stuff of dreams!”

Commenting on Edgar’s appointment, Gareth Macklin CEO of Obbi said: “Obbi’s growth is a testament to its innovative approach and the talented team driving it forward. With Dylan Edgar now on board at this very exciting time, we are well-positioned to expand our impact across the club industry and beyond.”
