The board of directors at Marine Drive Golf Club, Vancouver, Canada, have annouced the appointment of John Glendinning as their new chief operating officer. Established in 1922, Marine Drive is a private members club with a strong pedigree, and widely-regarded as one of the finest courses in Canada.
Glendinning brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Slaley Hall, Close House and most recently over the last eight years at The Wisley in the UK.
In a club statement, a spokesperson said: “With the club recently celebrating its 100th anniversary, this COO transition is an important time for Marine Drive Golf Club. With John’s experiences working at premium clubs in the UK, we are confident that he will bring all the necessary skills and insights needed to guide the Club into our exciting future.”
Glendinning added: “I feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to become the next COO of Marine Drive Golf Club. I am very much looking forward to meeting all the members in the coming months and working alongside the incredible team to continue to deliver a great member experience.”
