LAS COLINAS MARKS TENTH ANNIVERSARY WITH MAJOR ENHANCEMENTS

The 10th anniversary of Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is shaping up to be a year to remember, with the worldclass.golf Spanish resort ready to unveil multiple new and improved five-star facilities to celebrate the landmark. The impressive additions at the Costa Blanca venue include two new and unique dining experiences, a stylishly renovated beach club and an enhanced golf course.

Under the guidance of the resort’s new executive chef Alfonso Lillo and building on the immediate success of the Italian restaurant il Palco, which has become a firm favourite with members and visitors since opening in 2020, unik restaurant – which is located within the golf clubhouse – now serves fine international cuisine with a Mediterranean influence and locally-sourced ingredients to satisfy different tastes while the new umawa restaurant offers guests a new dining concept that fuses Nikkei cuisine with the best Mediterranean produce.

Visitors to Las Colinas’ popular Beach Club are also in for a treat this summer, with the venue being rebranded as ‘WOW Beach’ and set to unveil a stylish new look and upgraded gastronomic offering in June, while golfers using the resort’s acclaimed 18-hole championship course will also enjoy an enhanced experience following a course redesign to increase sustainability. Working in association with Golf Environment Organisation’s OnCourse programme, the changes will not only reduce the amount of water, fertiliser and maintenance needed but also create new natural wildlife habitats for animals that live on the course to thrive.

Las Colinas is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a calendar of commemorative events from now until the autumn, with property owners, golf members and resort guests all invited to take part. After launching its anniversary programme on World Earth Day this spring by inviting owners and staff to participate in a sponsored tree-planting project at the resort, golf, tennis and padel tournaments are just some of the events that can be enjoyed this summer, while those people looking for something a little less strenuous can celebrate at one of a number of social evenings – including an Ibiza-themed ‘White Night on the Beach’ evening.

Nestling in a 330-hectare valley south of Alicante, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has made a name for itself as one of the continent’s most sought-after golf, residential and real estate destinations.
