Toro Irrigation has announced the appointment of Maurice Varney to their International golf division. Varney, or ‘Reg’ as he’s better known, has been involved with the golf industry for the past 27 years working initially as an irrigation service engineer in the UK, before moving into distribution for Toro Irrigation products at Lely (UK) Ltd.
Prior to this, Varney was an engineer in the Royal Navy.
Most recently working as the International Region Manager for Otterbine Barebo Inc. he was responsible for sales and technical support for EMEA, India and Australasia, and brings a wealth of international experience in channel partner support, development and growth.
